Famous Upper Owens meadow fishing, the unique Hot Creek, the Owens Gorge, and even the headwaters of the San Joaquin and Upper Rock Creek, the last two high above the valley on the Sierra Crest.

The valley is heavily fished and the fish are picky. The high mountain streams will be tiny, but contain some nice-sized fish. The Gorge is somewhere in between, but well worth seeing and fishing.
