Upper Sacramento (Thurs-Sun)

We'll be fishing alongside the Upper Sacramento and staying at Castle Crags State Park. The Upper Sac offers 38 miles of water from Box Canyon down to Lake Shasta. There is truly every type of water so this outing offers good options for beginner through advanced anglers.
This is prime water for nymphing and dry fly fishing for wild rainbows and the occasional brown trout.

Camping
Camping will be at Castle Crags. Reservations are not typically accepted after labor day but Lauren is coordinating with the rangers to see if an exception can be made. If not, this area is generally not too busy in the fall so we'll be able to get several of the first come-first served sites. Exact site numbers TBD
